Access & Limits

The public monitor is free. Accounts only add alerts, API keys, and sign-in controls.

Always public

Status, history, incident records, and documented public API endpoints work without a login. The service is free, with no checkout and no paid tier.

For the current live answer, treat status as current only when the live status panel shows no freshness warning.

  • Live status and recent check metadata on the homepage.
  • History and incident record pages for past monitor results.
  • Versioned public API endpoints for status, history, and incident records.

Fair-use limits

This is a small independent monitor with limited capacity. Limits protect availability for everyone; they are not sold as upgraded access.

  • Public read endpoints: 120 requests per minute per client.
  • Rate-limited responses include standard RateLimit-* headers. Back off when you receive HTTP 429.
  • For status polling, every 10 to 30 seconds is usually enough. Prefer nextCheckAt instead of continuous polling.
  • Sustained abuse or overload may be blocked to keep the monitor available.

Optional accounts

Accounts are optional and remain free when signup is open. They only add email alerts for incident records, up to three API keys, and sign-in security controls.

Full trust and policy details remain in Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
