While we do make genuine HTTP requests to downdetector.com on the currently configured monitoring interval, our monitoring has limitations:

• Cloudflare bot detection may affect results (a 403 still counts as "up" since the infrastructure is responding)
• We only check availability, not functionality
• Network issues between our server and DownDetector could cause false positives
• This is a single monitoring point, not a distributed check

For critical operational decisions, use dedicated professional monitoring solutions.
